Retrospective is the first studio release from Lauren Field since her highly acclaimed "Modern Woman" album in 2003. In the intervening years Lauren signed a pan - European record deal, toured extensively with her band throughout Europe, was a regular performer at London's top jazz clubs and also headlined at London's Royal Albert Hall, released a live CD/DVD double album, "From Berlin to Brooklyn". A mostly self penned collection with some interesting collaborations including Hamish Stewart (Average White Band/Paul McCartney Band) and Zigmars Liepins (The Baltic States' most successful composer). The songs are a mix of autobiographical (though Lauren will never divulge which ones) and observational with one unique take on a classic cover.
